Shortcut 1 - Pressing Keys

There are a number of ways to press the shortcut keys. Most are similar to the Shift key.

Press the key and hold it down, then press the other key in the pair.

So if you're instructed to press Crtl+x then you

Press Ctrl

Hold it down

Press x

Release both keys

If three keys are listed like Ctrl+Shift+X then press and hold down the Ctrl and the Shift keys, and then press the X.

The Alt key behaves a little differently. On Excel you can press Alt and let it up and then press the key
