Shortcut 1 - Ctrl+X - Cut

Cut will copy the data from your current document and save it to the clipboard. When pasting, it will remove the original value. So Cut/Paste is more like a move of data.

In Excel the data is highlighted by what's known as "crawling ants" and only after you paste, does the data get "cut."

In most other software when you "cut" the data disappears and gets saved in the Clipboard. It will only show up when you do the paste part of the "cut-paste".

You can exit a "cut" by pressing the Esc (Escape) key.

You can cut the selected Cells or cut a piece of text within a cell by selecting it.
