Cut will copy the data from your current document and save it to the clipboard. When pasting, it will remove the original value. So Cut/Paste is more like a move of data.
![]() In Excel the data is highlighted by what's known as "crawling ants" and only after you paste, does the data get "cut." ![]() In most other software when you "cut" the data disappears and gets saved in the Clipboard. It will only show up when you do the paste part of the "cut-paste". You can exit a "cut" by pressing the Esc (Escape) key. You can cut the selected Cells or cut a piece of text within a cell by selecting it. |
